    • Our story is like many others. Nine years ago, we came to America with two bags of luggage and two big dreams. The first and biggest dream was to start a family. And we did. We now have three beautiful children, a four year old girl, a six year old boy and a new baby. Without doubt, we are blessed.

    Our second dream was to introduce Connecticut to our Romanian culture and cuisine. Hence, we came up with the idea of Cafe Transilvania. We owned Cafe Transilvania for many years which was a success, which is why we decided to open Transilvania Restaurant and bar.

    There are many delicious ethnic food choices in the area – Italian, Asian, South American, Mexican and others – so we thought, why not introduce the area to the delicious cuisine of Romania? You will be delighted with our menu and the dining options it will offer you.

    We are living in a trying time. We work, we drive to wherever we need to be, we tend to our children and keep up with homeschooling. We’re all exhausted by the end of the day.

    With all that, who really has time to cook?

    That’s why we’re opened Transilvania Restaurant, a full bar and restaurant. We understand how everyone’s life has changed because of COVID-19. We’re a family business ready to provide families in our area with an excellent and distinctive choice of cuisine at an affordable price.
